Is my house considered foreclosure if it was included in a bankruptcy?
My husband and I filed bankruptcy in October 2009 and were discharged in March 2010. We included our house in the bankruptcy. We are wanting to buy a new home in a year or two, and FHA guidelines for a loan state that after a bankruptcy you need to wait two years to apply and after a foreclosure you need to wait three years. Would our old home be considered a foreclosure since it was included in bankruptcy? I pulled our credit report, and the home loan is listed as discharged in Chapter 7 bankruptcy; it does not mention a foreclosure.

The very best advice I can give you is the same as I give dozens of times a day. Get a well qualified and well experienced LOCAL loan officer. They will know your laws and sit down and talk with you about your files and tell you what happens in the real world in your particular case. They will not charge you to set down and talk.
It would be foolish to try and do this with a faceless company over the internet.

What is the definition of ‘hard labor’ that Lisa ling and Euna Lee were sentenced to this morning?
This is pretty much the most info I could find on this topic. Most sites only supply very vague descriptions on what hard labour/prison labour is.
Border crossers (as in Ling and Lee’s case) are expected to work on State-run projects such as farming, road works, construction, etc. Prisoners are usually expected to work long hours (10 to 12 hours per day). They are also very strict and prisoners who don’t work hard enough (according to the authorities) are punished. This is pretty much all I could find.
